Primary School Students Pupils Perception on Protective Masks
“The Right to Breathe” research project surveyed school children in grades 3-5 to understand their knowledge of air pollution and ways to mitigate air pollution. The project also surveyed the children after they were taught a specialized class about using protection masks and good hygiene practices as methods to protect themselves from air pollution. These specialized classes were taught from a pool of 40 selected teachers and school medical doctors from 20 different schools across Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. The survey aimed to assess the impact of this project on the school children and their retention of their learned knowledge on air pollution and the ways to reduce the harmful effects from air pollution.
