Walk more
Starting in 1960, cars were put into mass production, and people began using them every day. This technology, aimed at making people’s lives easier and improving their quality of life, has become one of the factors negatively affecting people’s well-being. A 2020 study estimated that US vehicle emissions account for 45% of total NO2 and 10% of PM2.5 and PM10. In Mongolia, emissions from vehicles contribute to 10-15% of air pollution. Additionally, cars contribute significantly to noise pollution and create stress in the busy lifestyle of big cities. Therefore, the best course of action is to choose walking, which benefits both our health and the environment, over using vehicles with negative impacts.
I pledge to Walk more
Along with more walking, I pledge to advocate for the creation of a walkable environment.
